What happens on JUNE 28?

Our final rally! We host a celebration rally to honor your child and their achievements! After the celebration service, we have a big pizza party for your family to enjoy!

It starts at 10:30 AM

What are we offering?

  • Art

    Registration ends early

  • Basketball

  • Soccer

  • Flag Football

WHO IS MegA?

Mega is our mascot who helps out with the lessons.

Mega is a friendly, approachable character designed to guide and motivate learners through each lesson. He appears at every rally to help teach the lesson!

How Mega helps:

  • Motivates kids to say their Bible verse and MEGA point (the big idea of the lesson)

  • Keeps kids on task (in a funny way)

  • Gets kids pumped about learning new skills in their sport/activity

What’s the cost?

Nothing! It’s free!!!

What to expect?

Once you have checked in, your child will receive a wristband corresponding to their group (for example: Football – Yellow Group). After check-in, your child will enter our auditorium for worship, fun music, and our opening rally. During this time, we will also introduce someone in their sport or activity who has overcome challenges and persevered to succeed.

Next, your child will meet their coach and Mega (our mascot)! From there, the sports sessions will begin, with a snack and team huddle time in between activities.

Our closing rally will include a fun and sometimes crazy Bible story that your child might not have heard before—one that will make them say, “WOW… that’s in the Bible?!”

After the closing rally, we will have prize time followed by our check-out process. As the kids exit, they will run through a big tunnel of high-fives from our volunteers!

We kindly ask that parents remain in the foyer during check-out, as this will be a busy time. For this reason, we also ask that you avoid checking your child out really early, as it can confuse our dismissal process.

FAQs

  • No. Sports selections cannot be changed after registration. When a child is registered, a profile is created in our check-in system, and their sport is locked to help ensure safety and to allow our team to prepare for a smooth camp experience. Please make sure the sport selected is the one your child truly wants to participate in.

If any medical information needs to be updated, please contact our support team via email. We will review and process requests on a case-by-case basis.

  • No! Just the motivation to learn and have fun!

  • We regard the safety of children as our highest priority. All First Assembly Kids leaders have to be 18 years or older, and jr. volunteers must be 13 years or older. All leaders (ages 18+) must complete a Volunteer Application Form and apply for a Background Check (that includes all criminal history). Each applicant's background is carefully checked to ensure they are suitable for working with children. Our leaders and volunteers (ages 13+) also receive ongoing training in child safety procedures. As an added safety measure, no leader or volunteer can be alone with a child, and all teens must have a leader who is at least 18 years old with them. We also have cameras recording the halls and classes to ensure your child’s safety.

  • First, we will contact you and our first aid team to ensure your child receives the best possible care. We are prepared for minor things (like a scraped knee, etc.) and have procedures in place if anything worse were to happen.

  • Unless there is a major threat (such as a tornado), we will move all activities inside.

    • Closed in shoes

    • Clothes they don’t mind getting dirty

Snacks and water will be provided

  • Everything we teach is from the Bible & kept at a level your child can understand, in a fun way! We keep everything PG and invite parents to attend our rallies! Here at Mega Sports Camp, experiencing God’s love, peace, and joy is invincible!

  • Yes! WE post pictures of what is happening during the week and show a recap video at the end of camp! We get permission from you first, though!
