Frequently Asked Questions
IS THERE A DRESS CODE?
You can wear a dress or a suit or a T-shirt and jeans.
Come as you are!
The church is here to help fix your brokenness by sharing the love of Jesus.
IS THERE ANYTHING FOR MY OLDER KIDS?
On Sundays, teens ages 12 through 18 join our regular service in the auditorium. On Wednesday, we have a service just for them at 7:00 p.m.
WHAT IS SERVICE LIKE?
We begin our service with worship songs. Shortly after, our pastor will come up to share a lesson from the Bible that will help you know more about God and His plans for your life. After that, we will have time to pray to God and take steps toward change.

If you’re a first-time visitor, we'll have a VIP parking spot in the front by our grass field!

Kids Leaders
Jenna- It would be so awesome to have a blast with your kids this Sunday! Ever since my first trip to Youth Convention in 2018, I have felt called to minister to children. I want to see kids grow up and have a strong love for Jesus. Since then, I have graduated with an AA degree in Early Childhood Education from SAGU (now known as Nelson University); & I’m so excited to see what God has in store for the future as I continue my studies.
Lacy- I can't wait to teach your kids this Sunday! I have a passion for teaching kids; it's been my job since 2010! No, I don't teach school here, but I love teaching kids about God. I recently graduated with a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M University in Commerce. I’m thankful for where God has lead me. And my heart is thrilled to see where God takes this next generation.

We are ready for you (or your teenager) to come and engage in an environment where we share our life experiences. We want to learn together!

Why First Assembly?
1. We preach the Bible, not an inspirational speech. You leave feeling challenged.
2. You know where your money is going.
We report to all of our members who give so that they can see where their money is going.
We also take up offerings on the first Sunday of the month for missions and on the second Sunday of the month for our church building. Missions are our top giving priority.
We believe that you are blessed when you give to others; we also donate monthly to over sixteen organizations and over twenty missionaries.
3. You can get to know our pastors on a personal level.
4. We are kept accountable. We are a part of the denomination of the Assemblies of God.
Our denomination has created an accountable structure of people to help our leaders stay on track. We have A superintendent at our headquarters in Springfield, Missouri, A district director here in North Texas, a section board for the AG pastors in our county, and a team made up of deacons in our church.
Thanks to this system of people, we can keep our church running smoothly and safely.
5. Our congregation is dedicated to embodying Christ's teachings in our daily lives, prioritizing genuine faith, worship, & community, over superficial appearances, & cultural influences that morally compromise our image in Christ.
6. We welcome all cultures.
In a world of hate, God calls us to love everyone regardless of race/ethnicity.
Galatians 3:28: “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”
John 13:34: “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.”
